I gave in my roll to be developed today. I wonder how they'll turn out. I'm all for instant gratification, but waiting to see how those shots turn out is not so bad. I've been thinking of learning how to develop film. If I was serious I could clear out my closet and turn it in to a darkroom, hahaha. I like the sound of that, "darkroom". Especially with all the negative annotations associated with the word "dark".

Also starting to figure out how I'm going to get a dslr. I will have it though, that I know for sure. Just when? Hopefully sooner rather than later. Gotta go get my hands on the k10 and see how I like it. I often find myself aiming myself away from the crowd, I dono if that's why I'm so interested in the Pentax rather than Nikon or Canon. Like for fuck sakes, spell check has Nikon and Canon in it's dictionary and doesn't have Pentax. That's gotta tell you something.

Happy birthday Chris! You can finally join us at the strip joint. It's fun spending your birthday just with friends in a small get together. Rather than crazy suicidal booze parties in your friend's basement. Wooooooo!

My alternate life

We sure spend a lot of our life in school. I mean it's great and all, don't get me wrong, education is awesome, they should make a XBOX game about it, it would sell gazillions. Or hell, make it for P$3.
But, wouldn't it be great if life was just a game. Not just any game, but like parts of all your favorite games put together to make like a super fun life. Mine would definitely be an RPG.

Let's see, what kind of story would it be? SAVING THE WORLD! Sort of like Legend of Dragoon and Final Fantasy VIII mixed together. The time period would be advanced medieval times, you know, with airships and magic. There would be lots of adventure and monster battles. Of course all my closest friends (and closest enemies) would be in the game. We'd all travel the world, leveling up, camping out, visiting new towns and resting in Inns.

The fighting will be like Monster Hunter and Shadow of Colossus, which if you played either of the game, is mind blowing! Life would be spent in the open, full of adventure and action. The world will be simple, no need to have a job or anything. Just kill a monster and you get gold. SIMPLE LIFE

Spend the nights following the stars, chatting among friends, in front of an open fire place, listening to the soundtrack of the earth (and some Nobuo Uematsu too). Never a dull moment.

But naahhh, I'm on this world. Thank god for video games :S

So, did I mention recently I bought 11 fish to put in my empty tank? Five green tiger barbs, 5 regular tiger barbs, and 1 albino tiger barb. Why one albino barb? 'Cause I don't like albinos. Actually, I only asked for 10 fish, but the guy at the PJ's must like me, 'cuz he threw (literally) in an extra one. Doesn't matter though, couple of days later my sister broke into my room and fucked up my tank. Can't blame her I guess... Anyways I think she spilled some (all) of the water treatment chemical in to the tank, along with most (if not all) of the fish food. I was realllllllllllly hoping she didn't spill that chemical in there. Anyway, 2 weeks later, only 3 of my regular tiger barbs are left. Talk about survival of the fittest.

One of those days

You know, those days when you're just aware of all the suckyness around you? From the beginning, like when you're putting on your underwear, but your feet get stuck then all of a sudden your doing the one-legged bunny hop trying not to fall. Yeah, one of THOSE days.

I bought my self a treat today. A Lomo Fisheye 2. The field of view on this thing is freaking 170°! Also the shutter has a bulb function! Perfect for night time. Two things I like, bulb + wide angle :D I'll put up shots as soon as I get them developed. I wish I had this for Saturday night >:D

I went to best buy to test out the D80's handling. I came to the conclusion that I really do like it, however the kit lens is SHIT.
I tested out the exposure bracketing feature, which I will be using a lot. It was a quick and crude test, but here are my results:

But I swear, I took awesome care of it. In fact, it died jumping out of a stupid bowl I put it in while I was CLEANING his/her fish tank. Poor guy/gal... jumped right in to the heat vent. What a horrible way to go. Now I have a super clean tank and no fish.
I think I'll buy some new fish this week. Name them retarded names like Chris or Clarence. Since they all look the same, one whole group of similar fish will have one name. Like Mike, in Finding Nemo.

I'm Failing

I'm starting to fail and I don't have the motivation to do anything about it! I guess it was just two midterms.

Roxanne

Wow, it's literally been a year since I got Roxanne now. She's been good to me for the past year. No major trouble, 'cept for a few blown tires and some leaks here and there.

I was driving my Mom home from work tonight and the battery light lit up :( I parked her underground when we got home and took a look under the hood. Ahh... I realized I've been neglecting her for a while now (Mrs. Sherrif's favorite word).

When I first got her I promised I'd take good care of her. Poor Roxanneee. She's pretty fucking reliable for a car that's almost 15 years old, so for those of you who make fun of her can go fuck yourselves and enjoy drivin' your parents' car. Anyway, it made me realize how important she is to me, and here I am being so reckless. With all our busy-busy lifestyles these days we're starting to loose focus on the little things that make our lives easier. Take a minute or two, and just realize you're not as fucked up as you thought you were :)

Commuting

Thinking of commuting in the spring.. I mean I'm only taking 3.5 credits this year, and in the spring I have three courses (2 Philosophy courses that count for my english credit and Organic chemistry 2). Is it really worth it to spend 500/month for ~10 hours of class? I might add another course in, but if I don't.. It seems like a pretty big fuckin' waste of good money.

Rude Awakening

I was just awoken by, I shit you not, a fucking RACOON on my windowsill. That's right. It crawled up the ivy we have on the side of the house, and was sitting on the 10 inch width of my windowsill, on the second floor, pawing at my window. 

I thought it was an owl or something, then it's eyes glowed and I smacked the window. It climbed down I think. I'll go see if its ok in the morning, I don't feel like getting mauled today, I have to study. Fucking UTSC library.

No worries about school or family, just peace of mind. Get away from all this crappp. Do we work to live or live to work? It's really beginning to bug me. What am I wasting my time for? Should I just drop everything and do something I like? Something I enjoy.

In Stats we were talking about how humans always want more; more money, more this, more that. We'll never have enough, then my prof. said peace of mind was enough for him. That put things in to context. Sorta

end of summer

The last day of summer is here. I can't really say summer went by fast, but it didn't feel slow either. It had a good pace. Of course that's my opinion. The leaves are have already started to fall, I just noticed it the other day when I found one stuck to my windshield. Also getting colder outside :'(.

I bought a book today. It's called Vampire Hunter D: Tale of the Dead Town, pretty good. It's got vampires, and people, and something called an "ahampire". I don't know what exactly an "ahampire" is, but apparently the main character is one. He's also very cool and quiet. Reminds me of Squall from FF8 (best FF ever you fucking bastards!!). Anyway, it was only like $10, so I'd say it was a good deal. There is also an anime based on the same concept, also manga. This however is a novel. It's got some pictures in it though, pretty pretty pictures.

Anyway, I better start reading.

"business proposition"

Guess what me and Chris did a night ago? I'll give you a clue; it's not what you're thinking. We stole a DOSE news stand! :D Yeahhhhhh. He saw it earlier from his subway ride home. It was laying in a ditch behind the fence at the Midland station parking lot. So after I got off work we drove down to get. Holy crap there was a crap load of shit in that thing. We used Burger King bags (which we found IN the stand) as makeshift gloves to remove all the crap in the stand. It's alright, no needles or limbs, just trash. Loading it in to Chris' civic was tricky. We tried the truck, but settled for the back seat in the end. It's going to be in my room. I hosed it down last night but haven't gotten a chance to rehose it down and clean it during the day yet (still some Timmies in there). Hopefully i'll have it cleaned fully tomorrow and tomorrow night it can be in my room. Mmmm, I haven't excatly figured out what I could use it for though. I mean, I'm not going to go out daily and put the paper in it... that's just retarded, especially considering DOSE is no longer being printed here. Though I guess I could use it as a garbage can or something, I mean everyone apparently as been using it as one lately anyway =__=;. If you internet bastards have any ideas, comment. Maybe a dirty clothing depoist thingy? What's that called? A hamper?? I need one of those.. I could also use it to stash my giant collection of porn. Noooo, not big enough.

First post in a long time. This year seems to be off to a good start. I think I'm gonna change my major.

So, first week of university is over for me. I had to say, other then my "critical thinking" class, everything was pretty cool. Met a few people, mostly just today, and ran in to lotsa old friends. Met a very old friend today, Humayun (pronouced: who-my-un). Knew him since grade 6; back in Sprucecourt. In fact, if it wasn't for him I would have never got in to Harry Potter. Yeah how I got it is an odd story. We had these gay reading periods in class back in grade 8, and I didn't bring a book. So, my teacher sent me to the library to get one, but I ran in to Humayun on the way and he lent me his Harry Potter, with gay pokemon stickers on the cover. Yepp.

Crazy, I hope I see more old faces. I'm also thinking of joining clubs, if my schedule permits :'(, working and schooling is very time consuming. There are some pretty intersting clubs, like Akido and Fencing.

My Orgy Behav/Inter Skills Prof. seems to be a cool guy. Thats about it. God damnit, can't wait to get the labtop on friday. I'm in IT and I don't have my labtop yet. Alright, time for bed, work tmr.

...That happened. But before that it was pretty okay. Been cleaning my room for two days now. My book shelf finally looks like one. I found so many random things in it. An apron, sparklers, old lunch box, a dirty fork, and butt-floss. Today I got rid of all that crap under the bed, and in the closet. So many old cds I just threw away without checking them out, :'( I hope they weren't the porn. In my closet I found my old grade 8 class atendence sheet, yeah I forgot to hand it in. I kept that, so I don't forget some peoples names. Also found awesome french test results, back in downtown I was super fabulousé in français, bitch.

After all this pain in the ass cleaning I'm going to arrange my room according to Feng Shui. Yes I'm serious. I found it interesting after talking to a friend of Mai about it. So yeah, call me Richard Gear from now on, next thing to tackle, AIDS.

Where you can become a member if you've been to every station. So, on those long nothing-to-do-days, go buy yourself a damn day-pass, grab your camera, and get the hell out. I also recommend wearing comfy shoes and music. Anyway, this Every Station Club is quite serious, they require proof, and this guy's also serious about it. Hey, I found this doodle on my computer which dates back to January 4th 2004. Which was 2 years ago! I thought it was funny because it has doodles of us in it. Well not all of us. Not everyone is labeled so maybe you're in there too.

I remember doing this on spare I think. In the cafeteria. Does anyone remember? Cindy used to come by and I would be like "oHhhh noooo". Oh she actually contributed a bit in this doodle. She drew Bill, and also herself punching out Candice, yeah she sorta didn't like Candice :D. And then she drew herself again in the corner all pretty holding flowers and a gun. I'm in the exam hall. It's a gigantic fieldhouse since the course has 1500 people in it, and they decided to herd us all into the same place like some slaughterhouse or something. I begin to write, and the jackass in front of me lets one rip. This is the kind of fart that can cause nations to crumble and entire world wars to break out. Immediately I'm blown back into my seat and the entire row of 100 people behind me are sucked out the now broken window as the pressure from the noxious gas makes its way to the outside to alleviate the pressure build up. Think of it like a space shuttle with a hole in it.

Everything behind you has been fucking disintegrated, and whatever was left perished from lack of oxygen or has induced vomiting to avoid being suffocated by your alien-anus-melting-ray-of-biblical-proportions. The police rush in with their gas masks, thinking terrorists have compromised the facilities. They are about to toss in the tear gas when they decide that, hey, we don't need to because that guy has already taken care of it! Awesome!

So they come in, beating everyone with their nightsticks and pepperspraying random individuals when some smart guy decides he needs a trauma smoke, and lights a match. SMART MOVE BUDDY. Immediately the room filled with noxious fumes is filled with noxious fire!

It was awesome. I didn't have to write the rest of the exam and I get to do it again to get a higher mark. Score.

heads up 7up

Been meaning to post some things lately, just can't seem to find any time, or remember to. But I gotta put something down just so people get a heads up since time's been flying lately. Alex's school play is happening on May 11 & 12, from 6pm to 11pm, to be safe. It's a two day thing. So if you're done exams and wanna come let me know, I think tickets cost $5 and go on sale a week before? But yeah, heads up. How many times did I say heads up there? It's pretty nice, last year he was a fat ass jockey who killed his race horse, this year he's got extreme erectile difficulties. So yeah... =D Come support our fat-assed dysfunctional Alex. Muuwhahaahhaha

Oh it's a musical too, so I'm guessing he has to sing. I'd pay to see that.

A lot of hanging out lately

Good to see everyone lately. We gotta make this friday night thing a regular, it just feels awkward now if no one visits me at work on a friday night.. or if I don't have work on a friday night (btw, no work this friday).
